SGM Carlos L. Walker
Sergeant Major Carlos L. Walker is a native of Memphis, Tennessee and enlisted in the U.S. Army in June 1996. He attended Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training as a Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Specialist at One Station Unit Training, Fort McClellan, Alabama.
His assignments include Chemical Operations Specialist, 314th Chemical Company, Decatur, Georgia; Biological Integrated Detection Systems (BIDS) Specialist, 310th Chemical Company (BIDS), Fort McClellan, Alabama; Smoke Specialist, 366th Chemical Company (MS), Fort Stewart, Georgia; Biological Integrated Detection Systems (BIDS) Specialist, 310th Chemical Company (BIDS), Fort McClellan, Alabama; Small Group Leader, Primary Leadership Development Course and the Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course, Fort McCoy NCO Academy, Fort McCoy, Wisconsin; Company Operations NCO, 326 Chemical Company (BIDS), Redstone Arsenal, Alabama; Assistant Inspector General, 94th Training Division (FS), Fort Lee, Virginia; Battalion Operations NCO, 476 Chemical Battalion, Fort Lewis, Washington; First Sergeant, HHC, 485th Chemical Battalion, Newark, Delaware; Course Manager, Master Leaders Course, 83rd U.S. Army Reserve Readiness Training Center (ARRTC), Fort Knox, Kentucky. He is a graduate of Class 70 of the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy. SGM Walker currently holds a Bachelor of Arts in Emergency and Disaster Management from American Military University and a Master’s in Defense and Strategic Studies from the University of Texas at El Paso.
His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (2OLC), Army Commendation Medal (4th OLC), Army Achievement Medal (3rd OLC), Good Conduct Medal (5th Award), National Defense Medal with bronze star, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (5th award), Army Service Ribbon. He also wears the Basic Parachutist Badge and is authorized to wear the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (Gold) and the Norwegian Foot March (Bronze). SGM Walker is a Lifetime Member of the Chemical Corp Regimental Association.
SGM Walker is married to the lovely and talented wife and have two fur-babies Jake and Hannibal.
