Colonel Jacy Park

 

COL Jacy Park enlisted in the Army in 1997 and served as the 75H, Personnel Specialist for 9th Replacement Company, Bothell, WA until she received her commission in 2001 from University of Washington.  COL Park’s was assigned to Camp Stanley, Korea as the Battalion Chemical Officer for 2-2 Air Assault Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division; then as 3rd Platoon Leader and Executive Officer of 62nd Chemical Company (Heavy Decon), 23rd Chemical Battalion at Camp Long, and as a Brigade Chemical Officer for 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 2d Infantry Division at Camp Humphreys, Korea.

 

Following completion of the Chemical CCC, COL Park was assigned to Fort Polk, LA as the BN S4 for 83rd Chemical Battalion, then as a Company Commander for 51st Chemical Company (Maneuver Support).  Following command, she deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as the NATO Training Mission Afghanistan (NTMA) Liaison Officer for International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Kabul, Afghanistan.  Upon redeployment, COL Park served as the Brigade S5 Plans Officer for 1st Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, Fort Polk, LA.

 

Upon graduating CGSC, COL Park served as the Battalion S-3 and Executive Officer for 110th Chemical Battalion (Technical Escort), Joint Base Lewis McCord, WA. Following this assignment, COL Park was assigned to US Army Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear School, Fort Leonard Wood, MO, as the Chief of Officer Training Department.  She was then selected to serve at Human Resources Command as the Field Grade Assignment Officer and Executive Officer for the Chemical Branch under Operations Division, Officer Personnel Management Directorate.  She was then selected as the Professor of Military Science for Florida International University.  COL Park served as the Battalion Commander for 22d Chemical Battalion, Fort Bliss, TX and was selected for joint assignment in Korea. She served as the Senior CWMD Planner for Combined Forces Command (CFC) and as the Chief, CWMD Joint Interagency Coordination Group (CJIACG-K), US Forces Korea (USFK), Combined Forces Command (CFC), United Nations Command (UNC).

 

COL Park’s military education includes Chemical Officer Basic and Advanced Courses; Command General Staff College.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Washington, a Master of Science in Environmental Management from Webster University. She is attending Army War College, Carlisle Barracks, PA as part of Class of AY24.

 

COL Park’s awards include: Defense Superior Service Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal; Meritorious Service Medal with six oak leaf clusters; Army Commendation Medal with four oak leaf clusters; Army Achievement Medal with two oak leaf clusters; Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Army Reserve Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal; Afghanistan Campaign Medal; Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; Korea Defense Service Medal; Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon with number five; and NATO Medal.
