SGM Emilio A. Lopez Jr.

 

SGM Lopez was born in Brooklyn, New York and enlisted in the United States Army in 2002. Completed Basic Combat Training (BCT) at Fort Leonard Wood, MO.

 

SGM Lopez has served in numerous positions to include Track Driver (M113), M240B Machine Gunner, Team Leader, Squad Leader, Battalion CBRN NCO in HHC, 3d Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Fort Benning, GA, Platoon Sergeant in E Co., 3d Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Fort Benning, GA, First Sergeant in D Co., 1-48th Infantry Battalion, Basic Combat Training, Fort Leonard Wood, MO, First Sergeant in 4th CBRN Co., 23D CBRNE Battalion, Camp Humphreys, Republic of Korea, Chief of Training in 8th Army Wightman NCO Academy, Camp Humphreys, Republic of Korea, 2ID, CBRNE SGM, Camp Humphreys, Republic of Korea, and lastly as the Battalion CSM, 23D CBRNE Battalion, Camp Humphreys, Republic of Korea.

SGM Lopez has deployed in support of combat operations, totaling 60 months in combat experience both Iraq and Afghanistan. He’s been awarded the British Parachutist badge and is a recipient of the Chemical Corps Honorable Order of the Dragon. SGM Lopez holds a Baccalaureate Degree in Emergency and Disaster Management from American Military University.
