Colonel (R) Scott Kimmell

 

Mr. Scott Kimmell currently serves as the Deputy Commandant, US Army Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) School at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. As Deputy Commandant, Mr. Kimmell is responsible for overseeing all aspects of CBRN defense capabilities development across concepts, doctrine, organization, training, material, leadership, personnel, and facilities (Army, multi-service, and Joint).

 

Mr. Kimmell graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Chemical Corps through Army ROTC in 1986. He holds a Master of Science degree in Education from Long Island University; a Master of Science degree in Advanced Military Studies from the School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS), US Army Command and General Staff College; and a Master of Science degree in Strategic Studies from the US Army War College.

 

Mr. Kimmell culminated 30 years of active-duty service as Assistant Commandant, US Army Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear School at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

 

His awards and decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Ranger Tab, and Airborne Badge.
