Colonel (RET) Chris Cox
Colonel (R) Christopher Cox “Chris” has served across the globe in a host of leadership positions. Chris is currently the Director for Engineering and Logistics at Army Test and Evaluation Command. His last uniformed assignment was as the Military Deputy for the DEVCOM Chemical and Biological Center located on Aberdeen Proving Grounds. Prior to this assignment Chris served as the Director for the Army Futures Command, National Capital Region operations. Chris’ career also includes three deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq, Director of Materiel HQDA, Brigade Commander, Battalion Commander, Chief of the Army’s Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction and Engineer programs, Chief of Future Concepts for the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence (MSCOE), Chief of Staff for a Combined Joint Task Force, Battalion Executive Officer, Battalion S3, Deputy Division Chemical Officer, Iraqi Security Force Trainer, United States Military Academy faculty member, Company Commander, Division Chemical Logistics Officer, Company Executive Officer, Platoon Leader, and Battalion Chemical Officer.
Chris attended Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, majoring in Theoretical Computer Science. Chris is also a graduate of the Command and General Staff College and the Army War College Fellows Program at Carnegie Mellon. Chris holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York.
Chris’ awards and decorations include: the Legion of Merit with two Oak Leaf Clusters, the Bronze Star Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Meritorious Service Medal with Silver Oak Leaf Cluster, the Army Commendation Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, the Joint Service Achievement Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, the Army Achievement Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, the Meritorious Unit Award with Oak Leaf Cluster, the Army Superior Unit Award, the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, the Ranger Tab, the Combat Action Badge, the Parachutists Badge, the Air Assault Badge, the German Efficiency Badge (Bronze), and the Army Staff Identification Badge.
