CSM Raymond H. Agan

 
Command Sergeant Major Raymond H. Agan is a native of Las Cruces, New Mexico. CSM Agan graduated from Hope Christian High School, Albuquerque, NM in 2002, enlisted in the Army in July 2002 as an Infantryman (11B), and attended One Station Unit Training in D Co, 1-50th IN at Fort Benning, Georgia.
 
CSM Agan’s assignments include 1st Battalion 6th Infantry, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Baumholder, Germany; 3rd Battalion 60th Infantry, 193rd Infantry Brigade, Fort Jackson, SC; 1st Battalion 13th Infantry, 193rd Infantry Brigade, Fort Jackson, SC; 1st Battalion 24th Infantry, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team (Arctic), Fort Wainwright, AK; 1st Battalion 5th Infantry, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team (Arctic), Fort Wainwright, AK; 1st Battalion, 4th Security Forces Assistance Brigade, Fort Carson, CO; 1st Squadron (Airborne) 40th Cavalry, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, JBER, AK; Headquarters, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 11th Airborne Division, JBER, AK. CSM Agan’s combat deployments include Iraq 2003 (OIF I), Iraq 2004 (OIF II), Iraq 2005 (OIF III).
 
CSM Agan has served in a multitude of positions in the Infantry; Rifleman, Grenadier, Squad Automatic Weapon Gunner, Machine Gun Ammo Bearer, Assistant Machine Gunner, M240B Machine Gunner, Sniper, Sniper Team Leader, Rifle Squad Team Leader, Rifle Squad Leader, Drill Sergeant, Senior Drill Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, Reconnaissance Platoon Sergeant, First Sergeant, Battalion Operations Sergeant Major, Brigade Operations Sergeant Major.
 
Command Sergeant Major Agan’s military and civilian education includes all levels of the Noncommissioned Officer Education System, United States Army Sergeants Major Academy Class 71, and Battalion Commander Command Sergeant Major Pre-Command Course. The Basic Airborne Course, Air Assault, U.S. Army Sniper School graduate, Drill Sergeant Course, Combative Level I & 2, Army Basic Instructor Course, Total Army Instructor Course, Javelin Instructor Course, Master Arctic Trainer Course, Stryker Leader Course, Basic Military Mountaineer Course, Advanced Military Mountaineer Course, Combat Advisor Training Course, Tactical Combat Casualty Care, and the U.S. Army Jumpmaster Course. CSM Agan is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership and Workforce Development through Excelsior.
