Colonel Timothy Druell

 

Colonel Timothy Druell is a native of Spartanburg, South Carolina. He is a 1996 graduate from The Citadel where he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Chemical Corps. His military education includes the Chemical Officer's Basic and Advanced Courses, Basic Airborne School, Jumpmaster School, Ranger School, Combined Arms Service Staff School (CAS3), The United States Command and General Staff College (CGSC) and The United States Army War College.

 

He holds Master's Degrees in both Adult and Continuing Education from Kansas State University, and Strategic Studies from The United States Army War College. COL Druell most recently served as the USARCENT / Third Army, G36 Chief of Protection. Previous assignment was as the Commander, U.S. Army Garrison at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.

 

Colonel Druell's previous assignments include Battalion Chemical Officer, 1st Battalion, 64th Armored Regiment; Platoon Leader, 92d Chemical Company, 3rd Infantry Division; Brigade Chemical Officer, 1st Brigade, 82d Airborne Division; Company Commander, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Brigade, 82d Airborne Division; Regimental CBRN Officer, 75th Ranger Regiment; Company Commander, Charlie Company, 22nd Chemical Battalion (TE); Battalion S3, 22d Chemical Battalion (TE); Chief of Training, Incident Response Training Department; Battalion XO, 84th Chemical Battalion; Brigade S3, 3d Chemical Brigade; Chemical and Biological Branch Chief, J57, Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) (received Joint Forces Credit); and Commander, 22d CBRN Battalion. While serving in the 75th Ranger Regiment, COL Druell deployed six times to Iraq and Afghanistan in various positions in support of Special Operation Forces (SOF). As the Commander for the 22d CBRN Battalion, COL Druell was responsible for the relocation of the Battalion and subordinate Companies from Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD to Fort Stewart and Fort Bliss, TX. After the War College, COL Druell served as the Assistant Chief of Staff (ACoS), G3 for the 20th Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives (CBRNE) Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

 

Colonel Druell's awards include the Legion of Merit with two oak leaf clusters; Defense Meritorious Service Medal; Bronze Star Medal; Meritorious Service Medal with four oak leaf clusters; Joint Service Commendation Medal; Army Commendation Medal with one oak leaf cluster; Army Achievement medal with two oak leaf clusters; Joint Meritorious Unit Award; Afghanistan Campaign Medal; Iraq Campaign Medal; Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary and Service Medals; Combat Action Badge; Master Parachutists Badge; Ranger Tab; German and Canadian Parachutists Badge. He wears the 75th Ranger Regiment Scroll as his Combat Patch.
