Colonel Danielle C. Taylor
COL Danielle C. Taylor received a Regular Army commission in June 2004 from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her military education includes the Chemical Officer Basic and Advanced Courses; Technical Escort Course; United States Army Command and General Staff College; and Joint Professional Military Education, Phase II (JPME II). She holds a Master's Degree in Environmental Management from Webster University and was selected and completed the Strategic Studies Fellows Program (SSFP) hosted by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
COL Danielle Taylor's previous assignments have included Platoon Leader, 7th CBRN CO, 83rd CBRN Battalion; Executive Officer, 7th CBRN CO, 83rd CBRN Battalion; Battalion Assistant S3, 83rd CBRN Battalion, 48th CBRN Brigade; 21st CM Company Commander, 2nd CBRN Battalion, 48th CBRN Brigade; Brigade S2, 4th Brigade, Cadet Command; Battalion S3 and Battalion Executive Officer, 110th Technical Escort Battalion, 48th CBRN Brigade; Chief CBRN Current Operations, NORAD and USNORTHCOM; Staff Synchronization Officer for the Chemical and Biological Defense Program at Army Headquarters, G8; Battalion Commander for the 83d CBRN Battalion, Fort Stewart, GA. While assigned to the 7th CBRN Company, 83rd CBRN Battalion COL Danielle Taylor deployed as part of the surge effort in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. She performed duties as the Company Executive Officer in the only Biological Integrated Detection Systems (BIDS) Company forward deployed to the CENTOCM Area of Responsibility (AOR), Operational Control (OPCON) to the U.S. Army Central Command (USARCENT) with the mission to execute combat security operations throughout Iraq. COL Taylor is currently attending the Army War College in Carlisle, PA.
COL Danielle Taylor's military awards and decorations include the Coast Guard Meritorious Team Commendation Ribbon, Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with four Oak Leaf Cluster, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal with Three Oak Leaf Clusters, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Joint Meritorious Award, and Army Superior Unit Award. National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Humanitarian Service Medal with One Oak Leaf Cluster. COL Taylor also wears the German Armed Forces Badge in Gold.
