Please review the following information to determine if you need a pass. In most cases, those coming for graduations don't need one unless:

1) You are flying into or out of the Forney Army Airfield/Waynesville-St. Robert Regional Airport or are staying at the on post hotel (Candlewood Suites, Holiday Inn Express, Foster Lodge, or Warrior Lodge)
2) You plan to enter post before family day or after graduation day
3) You are not a US citizen

Visitors traveling on I-44 must use exit 161 towards Fort Leonard Wood.  Enter the main gate using the far-left lanes 1 or 2. (Visitor Center GPS searchable address: 2624 Missouri Ave, Fort Leonard Wood, MO 65473).

IMPORTANT REAL ID ACT INFO: Fort Leonard Wood no longer accepts state issued driver licenses that do not meet the standards of the REAL ID Act of 2005 for base access purposes.  Individuals requesting access with a non-REAL ID-compliant state license will also need to present one of the documents required to prove identity to be vetted and issued an installation pass (in addition to their non-REAL ID-compliant state license). See the Access Control page for information on REAL ID Act supplemental identity proofing documents.

If you request access to FLW without a REAL ID Act compliant form of identification or cannot provide supplemental identity proofing documents as listed on the website provided, you will be denied access. Digital driver's licenses or identifications are not accepted and cannot be used as a form of identification for the purpose of identity vetting to gain escorted or unescorted access to Army Installations.

VEHICLE INFORMATION: Visitors driving on post must have on hand: current insurance and registration for you vehicle. If you are renting a car, you are still require to have proof of insurance. This can be a personal insurance card for a vehicle you own, or you can purchase the insurance the rental agency offers (normally known a PAI, or Personal Accident Insurance).

PRIVATELY OWNED FIREARMS: Anyone wishing to bring or store a Privately Owned Firearm on Fort Leonard Wood for authorized legal activities must properly register the firearm. Military members and their family members residing on the installation must register all firearms upon arrival. All military members regardless of rank must have the firearms registration form signed by their current unit Commander. Click here for more information.

FOR US CITIZENS:

US citizens, may pre-apply through the FLW Visitor Pre-Registration System. All individuals 18 years of age and older must submit a visitor pre-registration request. For comments or questions on how to use the site or what information must be included, contact the Visitor Center at 573-596-0590 or through email.

If you are denied access at any point during the pre-registration process you will be notified via text with instructions to contact the Visitor Center, an email address is provided in the text. You will receive further guidance from the Visitor Center on how to request a waiver if desired. See the Access Control page for more information on denied access criteria.

If unable to request a pass online, you may go to the Visitor’s Center to request a pass.  This process is not ideal for out-of-town travelers as you could be denied without sufficient time to process a waiver for entry (1-2 weeks typically). In-person registration is more time consuming and could cause a delay in entering the installation for your special event.

If you wish to enter post PRIOR to family day or AFTER graduation, or stay at the on post overnight during your stay (on post hotel). You will need valid identification, a copy of the hotel reservation (if staying in a hotel on Fort Leonard Wood), pass the background check and each person in your party age 18 and over must complete this process before passes will be issued.  Person(s) with criminal history determined during the background check may be denied unescorted access to Fort Leonard Wood, regardless of hotel reservations.

FOR NON US CITIZENS (TO INCLUDE RESIDENT ALIENS):

If you, or anyone else in your party, 18 or over, are NOT a US citizen, you need to email us the following information to be cleared for entry to Fort Leonard Wood. You will not use the pre-registration system but will instead submit the required information to the Visitor Center through email for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) processing. You must bring your passport/visa and other valid DHS immigration document to be issued an escorted pass. All non-US citizens require an escort while on the installation.  If your request is denied for immigration violations, you will be notified by email from the visitor center. Use this email address: usarmy.leonardwood.id-training.mbx.usag-flw-des-visctr@army.mil

Your pass will be issued when you arrive at Fort Leonard Wood and your sponsor will be your graduating service member.
