MSG Gabriela Bahena
Master Sergeant Gabriela Bahena began her Army journey on February 16, 2010, enlisting as a CBRN Specialist. She attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill, OK, followed by Advanced Individual Training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO.
Throughout her career, MSG Bahena has held diverse roles in both the operating force and the generating force. In the operational force, she served in various capacities, including as a sample team leader in a technical escort company and as a member of two hazard response companies. Within the hazard response organizations, she held positions ranging from reconnaissance assistant team leader to team leader, and platoon sergeant. In the generating force, she fulfilled roles as an operations sergeant and a drill sergeant. Currently, she serves as the Talent Management NCO for the Chemical Branch at the U.S. Army Human Resources Command.
MSG Bahena's military experience extends beyond her direct assignments; she has served in major operations worldwide and deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Her strengths encompass a varied array of skills, including leadership, talent management, organizational development, and adeptly navigating the challenges of a dual military career while balancing the responsibilities of motherhood.
A dedicated lifelong learner, MSG Bahena has pursued continuous growth and development. She holds an Associate degree from Pierce College, a Bachelor of Science from Purdue University Global, and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Human Resource and Organizational Development from the University of Louisville.
