Colonel Daniel F. Uyesugi
Colonel Daniel F. Uyesugi was born in Portland, Oregon. He earned BS in chemistry from Earlham College and a MS in radiation biochemistry from the University of Delaware. He graduated from the Infantry Officer Candidate School and was commissioned in the Chemical Corps.
Colonel Uyesugi’s principal duty assignments have included normal company grade positions in chemical units such as Escort and Disposal Team Chief of the U.S. Army Technical Escort Center, Edgewood Arsenal, Maryland; Nuclear Weapons Effects Officer for the U.S. Army Nuclear and Chemical Agency, Fort Belvoir, Virginia and Division Chemical Officer for the 2d Infantry Division, Camp Casey, Korea. He served as the Commander of the U.S. Army Environmental Center, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland and then as Assistant Commandant, U.S. Army Chemical School, Fort McClellan, Alabama. He is also a member of the Infantry OCS Hall of Fame.
