LTC Mark A. White

 
LTC Mark White is from Clyde Texas and was commissioned as an Engineer officer upon completion of Officer Candidate School in 2002. LTC White is coming from Vicenza, Italy where he served as the Chief of Engineer Operations for SETAF-AF.
 
LTC Whites military career began in 1997 when he enlisted in the Texas Army National Guard as a 12B, Combat Engineer and assigned to Aco 111th En Bn. He deployed with the 111th engineer battalion in 2000 to Eagle Base, Tuzla, Bosnia-Herzegovina where upon demobilization he began Officer Candidate School
 
LTC White deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004 as the Executive Officer for Aco 111th Engineer Battalion and supported PSD operations for Multi-National Forces Iraq at Camp Victory, Baghdad. Upon demobilization he was reassigned as the 111th Engineer Battalion S4 until 2007. From 2007 to 2009 he Commanded the 822nd Horizontal Engineer Company and from 2009 to 2011 he Commanded the 840th MAC and deployed the Company to Camp Taji Iraq for Detention Operations and later Camp Victory, Baghdad and attached to the 3rd Armored Corps for PSD operations until 2010.
 
LTC White held staff assignments as the S-3 for the 111th En Bn, Engineer Plans Officer for 136th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade which included a deployment to Kabul Afghanistan as the OIC for Engineering, Construction and land management and Eighth Army, G37 TREX, Yongsan, Republic of Korea as an Exercise planner. From 2014 to 2017, LTC White served as the Bilateral Affairs Officer at the US Embassy in Prague, Czech Republic executing all security cooperation activities between the Czech Republic and United States military. In August 2017 he returned to Texas to serve as the Director of the J7 overseeing all Joint Staff training, Exercises and the international cooperation with Chile and the Czech Republic. LTC White served as the Commander of the 172nd Brigade Engineer Battalion from December of 2017 to June 2019. From 2019 to 2022, LTC White served in the Mission Command Training Program at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas as the Plans and Exercise Division Chief for Ops Group Charlie and later Command and Control WarFighting Function Chief, executing over 22 Division level War Fighters and exercises, including deploying to Battle Creek Michigan in support of the Title 10 Covid-19 Response.
 

LTC White holds a bachelors and master’s degree from Texas A&M University. His military education includes the engineer officer basic and advanced course, joint engineer operations course, air assault course, Defense Support to Civil Authorities Phase I and II, numerous Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) courses, Joint Domestic Operations Course, Command and General Staff intermediate level education and the Security Cooperation Management Course.
