LTC Scott R. Perkins
Lieutenant Colonel Scott Perkins was commissioned as a Field Artillery officer in 2007 after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Northern Arizona University. LTC Perkins is coming from Fort Leavenworth, Kansas where he served as a Movement and Maneuver Warfighting Function Chief/Observer Controller Trainer (OC/T).
LTC Perkins’ first assignment was with 3rd Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, where he served as a Fire Support Officer, Fire Direction Officer, and Platoon Leader.
Following the Special Forces Qualification Course, LTC Perkins was assigned to 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. LTC Perkins served as a Special Forces Detachment Commander, Group Headquarters and Headquarters Company Commander, Special Forces Company Commander, and Operations Officer.
LTC Perkins was then assigned to Special Operations Command-Pacific where he served as an Operations Officer. Most recently, LTC Perkins was assigned to Operations Group Juliet at the Mission Command Training Program as a Movement and Maneuver Warfighting Function Chief/Observer Controller Trainer (OC/T).
LTC Perkins has deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom-Afghanistan, Operations Enduring Freedom-Philippines, Resolute Support Mission-Afghanistan, and throughout Asia on operational deployments.
LTC Perkins’ military education includes the Field Artillery Officer Basic Course, Airborne School, Ranger School, Maneuver Captains Career Course, Special Forces Qualification Course, and the Command and General Staff College.
His awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Combat Action Badge, Valorous Unit Award, Army Superior Unit Award, and Joint Meritorious Unit Award.
