Colonel Brian Hoffman

 

U. S. Army Colonel Brian Hoffman, born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, received his commission in 1998 as a Chemical Officer from The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army Chemical Officer Basic and Advance Courses (with honors), the Marine Corps University Command and General Staff College (with honors), and the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania (with honors). COL Hoffman holds a Master of Public Policy Administration from the University of Missouri, St. Louis, Missouri, a Master of Military Studies from Marine Corps University, Quantico, Virginia, and a Master of Strategic Studies from the Army War College.

 

Prior to assuming duties as the V Corps G-3/5/7, he commanded Dugway Proving Ground, Utah. Past operational assignments include the Fort Liberty, NC Joint Special Operations Command’s (JSOC), U.S. Army Forces Command, U.S. Army Reserve Command, the 82nd Airborne Division, and the 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta (Delta Force); the Fort Benning, Georgia 75th Ranger Regiment; the Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command, 20th Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and High-Yield Explosive Command, and the 22d Chemical Battalion; and the Shaw Air Force Base U.S. Army Central Command. COL Hoffman has commanded Army elements at the rank of captain, lieutenant colonel, and colonel. Overseas assignments involve 12 deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, and Syria.
