Chief Warrant Officer Four Antonio Mariscal, a native of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, embodies unwavering dedication to national security through his expertise in CBRN defense. Naturalized as a U.S. citizen in 2004, his career, beginning in 1998, demonstrates a consistent trajectory of leadership and technical proficiency. He currently serves as the Senior Warrant Officer Advisor for the 48th Chemical Brigade at Fort Cavazos, Texas, a testament to his commitment to developing and mentoring future generations of CBRN specialists.

 

CW4 Mariscal's career path reflects his steady ascent through progressively demanding leadership roles within the CBRN field. He honed his skills and expertise serving as Battalion CBRN Technician at multiple duty stations, including Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and with the 2nd Infantry Division in the Republic of Korea. His leadership extended to the company level as the CBRN Warrant Officer for the 63d Chemical CBRN Company and broadened further as he took on the responsibilities of Division CBRN Technician for both the 101st Airborne Division and the 2nd Infantry Division. He then excelled as the V Corps CBRN Technician at Fort Knox, Kentucky, showcasing his ability to lead and advise at the highest echelons. Currently, CW4 Mariscal serves as the Senior Warrant Officer Advisor for the 48th Chemical Brigade, leveraging his extensive experience to mentor and guide the next generation of CBRN professionals.

 

CW4 Mariscal's commitment to national defense extends beyond U.S. borders. He served in support of Operation Enduring Freedom with the 4th Infantry Division in Afghanistan from 2011-2012, demonstrating his courage and resolve in combat. More recently, he deployed with V Corps to Poland in support of Operations European Deterrence Initiative and European Assure, Deter, and Reinforce (2021-2022), highlighting his adaptability and strategic understanding in a complex geopolitical environment.

 

His dedication to professional mastery is evident in his pursuit of both military and civilian education. CW4 Mariscal's military education includes a range of specialized courses, including Warrant Officer Intermediate Level Education, Anti-Terrorism Officer Basic Course, Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Advisor Course, Joint CWMD Planning Course, and numerous others that honed his expertise in CBRN defense, WMD preparedness, and homeland security. He furthered his academic credentials by earning an associate's degree in WMD Preparedness and a bachelor's degree in Homeland Defense from American Military University. His commitment to lifelong learning is a testament to his desire to remain at the forefront of his field and serve as a source of knowledge and experience for those around him. CW4 Mariscal's exceptional service has earned him numerous prestigious awards, including the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Army Achievement Medal. He is a distinguished member of the Ancient Order of the Dragon.
