Digital Garrison Right around the corner
IMCOM and AAFES are pushing hard to make the Digital Garrison App the digital communications application of choice for garrison operations and information sharing. According to officials, the current plan has the App in full operation by January 2021.
Chad T. Jones, Fort Meade garrison public affairs officer, explains Fort Meade’s Digital Meade page on the garrison website helps Fort Meade prepare for the IMCOM-wide Digital Garrison App platform. Digital Meade is formatted to be compatible with ease of connection with the Digital Garrison App which will give users information about their installation, while also keeping them better connected to the Army.
As with all evolutionary and revolutionary changes, the elements and contents of Digital Meade will be adjusted as the Fort Meade community informs on its ability to meet their needs, said Jones.
Digital Meade will also open its platform for mission partners and communities to share their stories.
“We are going to make it easier for the community to share content with us and for us to push that content onto our Digital Meade platforms,” Jones said.
“This will give everyone a better idea of the important work we do here on Fort Meade.”
