Rockenbach gate is now open!
Col. Christopher Nyland, Garrison Commander and CSM Michael Behnkendorf, Garrison Command Sergeant Major, were present on March 15, 2021. to commemorate the big day as vehicles rolled through the Rockenbach Access Control Point, christening its new look and design.
Rockenbach will be open Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and will be closed on weekends and holidays.
While we are grateful to no longer receive questions about when Rockenbach will be opening there are a few changes happening to other gates in the very near future.
Beginning March 15th, the Reece Road ACP will operate at reduced hours, with daily hours 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Then, on Monday, March 22nd, Reece Road will close for construction for approximately 30 – 36 months. During this time the alternate ACPs will be Rockenbach, Mapes/175 which is open 24/7, and Mapes/West (at MD 32) which is open Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays. Both Rockenbach and Mapes/West are closed on holidays. The Visitor Control Center at the Reece ACP will remain open during construction.
