Fresh Choices, Better Savings; Commissary Farmer's Market at Fort Meade features locally sourced organics

FORT GREGG-ADAMS, Va. – The Fort Meade Commissary, Maryland, will host a pop-up style Farmer’s Market featuring organic products July 14 – 20. The event kicks off on the 14th at 9:00 a.m. inside the store. This is the second Farmer’s Market-style event that will be hosted at select commissaries around the United States this year.

The event will feature the commissary’s expanded offering of organic products including meats and produce. Other features of the market will include live product demonstrations, melon destination station (just in time for those summer gatherings), special pricing and patron giveaways.

“We are excited to host this Farmer’s Market where our patrons will have the opportunity to engage with regional growers and gain valuable information on the ever-growing popularity of everything organic, and save some money on their organics grocery bill at the same time,” said Reginald McKnight, Fort Meade store director. “We are expecting regionally grown items from surrounding states to ensure our customers get the freshest options available during this week-long event.”

Come out and support your commissary and the dedicated local farmers that provide us with fresh, nutritious offerings that will make your meals a special occasion this summer.
