Fort Meade access control points will undergo operational adjustments this weekend, May 15-18, to accommodate necessary road construction. To provide a consistent route for personnel and reduce traffic turnarounds, Mapes/175 Gate operations will be expanded during the closure of Reece Gate.
To help the community plan commutes, the following schedule details the upcoming gate closure and alternate routes.
Reece Gate closure (May 15-18)
Beginning the evening of Friday, May 15, Reece Gate will undergo full-width road repairs.

Visitor processing and security reminders
Check the app: Installation personnel and visitors are highly encouraged to check the My Army Post App (MAPA) for the most up-to-date, real-time gate hours before starting their commute.
Visitor passes: During the Reece Gate closure, all visitor processing will be routed through the dedicated visitor lane at the Mapes/175 Gate.
Safety: Drivers are reminded to obey all posted speed limits, construction signage and traffic control personnel when navigating through work zones.
