The Fort Drum Public Affairs Office maintains effective two-way communications with our internal and external audiences in order to establish the information conditions that lead to short- and long-term mission accomplishment.
Public Affairs provides information through the Fort Drum website and social media platforms – including our new app! – to keep members of the post community informed about news, events and policies while promoting timely, accurate, truthful, two-way communication between the commander and internal audiences.

Public Affairs also contributes to another valuable resource – the 772-Drum line. For a daily recording of installation delays / closures and current road conditions for Fort Drum’s cantonment and training areas, call (315) 772-DRUM.
Community Relations coordinates requests for military support of public events and patriotic celebrations, tours – including the popular Fort Drum History Tours – and field trips on post, and law enforcement and emergency services use of installation training facilities. Community Relations programs support and sustain relationships between service members and leaders at Fort Drum and citizens of neighboring civilian communities.
