Course Overview: 

The Mountain Operations Course familiarizes non-SQI "E" Soldiers on the foundations of military mountaineering operations, basic knots, specialized equipment, rappelling operations, and basic rope systems used to facilitate mobility, sustainment, and casualty evacuation. Emphasis is placed on identification of hazards associated with mountain operations and proper risk mitigation throughout the course. MOC satisfies the requirement for a Basic Military Mountaineering Course - Prep Course prior to attending BMMC.
