Tonight: Snow showers likely, mainly between 2am and 3am, then snow after 3am. Temperature falling to near -1°F by 8pm, then rising to around 23°F during the remainder of the night. Wind chill values as low as -10°F. Southeast wind 5 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Snow accumulation of around an inch possible.


Wednesday: Snow before 1pm, then snow showers likely after 1pm. High near 35°F. Breezy, with a south wind 20 to 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.


Wednesday Night: Snow showers likely, mainly before 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 5°F. Wind chill values as low as -5°F. West wind 11 to 17 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Free COVID-19 test kits available

The federal government is offering four free COVID-19 tests for every U.S. household.

To sign up, visit www.COVIDtests.gov or https://special.usps.com/testkits. It's quick and easy, and the kits will be shipped later this month.

Officials close Memorial Drive CDC, reopen Monti Fitness Center

Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation officials have announced that Memorial Drive Child Development Center will be closed through Jan. 19 due to staffing shortages. 

Monti Physical Fitness Center has reopened after being closed due to staffing issues.  


Keep doors, windows closed
to protect buildings in cold 

Due to the anticipated sub-zero temperatures this week, Directorate of Public Works officials ask that Soldiers and employees ensure that all windows and doors are kept closed, to avoid freezing pipes and flooding of facilities.

If you normally use the Drum Line (772-DRUM) to check on current Fort Drum road conditions, post delays and closures, please be aware that the service is currently down.

However, you can find these updates on the Fort Drum homepage and on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/drum.10thmountain).

We also encourage Fort Drum community members to enroll in the Alert! system. This mass warning notification system sends out authoritative messages via email, text, phone and voice mail. For instructions on enrolling in the system, click here

Fort Drum officials outline options for COVID vaccinations, boosters on post

Officials wish to remind Fort Drum community members of the options available for receiving COVID-19 vaccinations and booster shots.

All beneficiaries -- Call and make an appointment at Guthrie via the MEDDAC appointment line (315) 772-2778, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Soldiers -- Walk in at Bowe Clinic from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Both can accommodate first and second doses, and boosters. Guthrie also provides the pediatric (5- to 11-year-old) vaccine. Pfizer and Moderna are available.

Can't make it during the day?

The Fort Drum Medical Department Activity will host an after-hours COVID-19 clinic from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, at Guthrie's Primary Care Clinic, White/Gold Teams.

Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be available, including first and second doses, boosters, and pediatric (5- to 11-year-old) doses.

All TRICARE beneficiaries are eligible. Vaccines are available by appointment only, to assist with proper social distancing. To schedule an appointment, call (315) 772-2778.

Governor announces statewide mask, 
proof of vaccination mandate

New York Governor Kathy Hochul has announced a statewide mask / proof of vaccination mandate in response to the COVID-19 surge is in effect. Masks are required to be worn in all indoor public places unless businesses or venues implement a vaccine requirement.
