The Physical Security Division of the Directorate of Emergency Services executes force protection and anti-terrorism activities and training, and develops, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates the status of the Fort Drum protection and anti-terrorism program.

  • Conduct physical security inspections and surveys, staff assistance visits, and vulnerability assessments / force protection awareness, and assist units with risk analysis; 

  • Review and update the Installation Physical Security Plan;

  • Manage the Integrated Commercial Intrusion Detection System (ICIDS) and Closed Circuit Television system;

  • Develop and conduct training for unit physical security officers, armorers, key control custodians, security managers, ICIDS users and leaders;

  • Perform design reviews and risk analysis;

  • Conduct Visitor Control Center operations; and

  • Conduct Access Denial Program.
