Who We Are
Military Police are the Army’s premier dual-purpose force made up of a team of highly skilled, talented, and innovative professionals of character exercising disciplined initiative, with shared understanding. In competition we preserve readiness and in crisis we preserve critical capabilities. In conflict we deny enemy freedom of action while enabling our own by creating agility and operational reach from the Strategic Support Area (SSA) to the Forward Line of Troops (FLOT). Through the Military Police responsibilities of protecting the force, policing, investigations, corrections, detention, and as a key member of the Protection Warfighting Function (WfF), we provide Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) capable warfighting and combat ready forces and formations while continuously transforming toward the Army Warfighting Concept 2040.
The Military Police Career
The Military Police Corps provides officers with a multitude of opportunities and experiences for personal and professional growth. The Military Police Corps holds several professional accreditations, such as the Federal Law Enforcement Training Accreditation (FLETA), The American Correctional Association (ACA), the International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts (IALEIA), and the Department of Defense Peace Officer Standards and Training (DOD POST). Officers within the Military Police Corps set the standards of professionalism and conduct their duties of policing, investigations, corrections, and security and mobility support for the safety of their fellow Soldiers. Our career pathway focuses on management and leadership opportunities.
