The National De-certification Index (NDI) is hosted by the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training (IADLEST). Subscriber agencies, such as DoW POST, may access that database in order to pre-screen candidates seeking law enforcement military occupational specialties or civilian (GS-0083 or 1800-series) law enforcement jobs. As of December 2023, the Department of Justice is developing a separate database for federal law enforcement officers who violate standards of conduct that lead to termination of employment.
