GO Transit provides free stop to stop, on-demand shuttle service around Joint Base Lewis-McChord. The on-base transportation system provides service from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., 7 days a week.
GO Transit is accessible to Enlisted Soldiers traveling between troop billets, places of duty, and dining facilities and Military personnel, DOD Civilians, and DOD contractors conducting official defense business. Passengers, such as family members of Active-Duty personnel, off-duty DOD Civilian, retirees, or visitors to the installation are allowed as space is available on the shuttle.
An ADA compliant van is on order.
You can Schedule the GO Transit shuttle service by downloading the “TransLoc” app on your smart phone, once you set up your account/profile you can request a ride to pick you up at the closest pickup location. You can also schedule a GO Transit shuttle by calling 253-477-3717. Once you schedule a ride, a GO Transit shuttle will be dispatched to your location. You will be provided with an estimated pick-up and destination drop off time.
When your ride is created, you will be able to track your shuttle location. This is a ride-share system, if multiple passengers are requesting to be picked up from different locations but dropped off at the same destination, the GO Transit shuttle driver will stop and pick up those passengers. The GO Transit shuttle arrival time to your location and your destination will be continuously updated.
