Engagement Skills Trainer
The Engagement Skills Trainer (EST) is a laser-based unit, indoor, multipurpose arms trainer for individual and crew served weapons. The system displays targets, terrain, and weapon effects in a real time presentation on a screen 26 feed from the firer. The firing soldier experiences an approximation to the actual weapon's sound, weight, and recoil. The system provides training for marksmanship, static unit collective training, shoot-don't-shoot judgments, and provides extensive after-action review support. The following weapons are available: M16, M4, M2, MK19, M249, M240B, M320, M1200, and M136 weapon systems.
All training is scheduled through RFMSS <–click here
Training
The EST requires a certified operator. The unit will not be allowed to run EST without their operator present. The unit has two hours from scheduled start time to occupy the trainer. After that time the trainer is available to other units. The max number of personnel we can train in a single 8-hr work-day is approximately 80.
Certification
Operators must be in the rank of Corporal or above. The course is a walk-in two-day course that will be based on a first-come basis, up to 10 students. The course is held at the Training Support Center, Bldg A-5514. The schedule is as follows: the 1st & 3rd week, the course is held Monday-Tuesday. Call For Fire Trainer

The CFFT is a procedural trainer designed to provide basic instructions and sustainment training to the qualified observer. It is an observed fire training system that will fulfill the need for observed fire training and supports all fire missions; capable of depicting the use of all current and future munitions and used to train all soldiers regardless of MOS. It simulates artillery, mortar and other fires on stationary and moving targets.

Virtual Clearance Training Suite

The Virtual Clearance Training Suite (VCTS) is to provide individual and collective training for Counter-Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED) missions to Route Clearance Units in a virtual environment. The individual / crew training curriculum consists of 40 hours of basic and advanced route clearance training scenarios. With a wide variety of environmental conditions and virtually any type of terrain imaginable the VCTS system will provide route clearance company soldiers with experience in any situation they are likely to encounter. Training conducted at the VCTS is route clearance, convoy operations, and stabilized gunnery.
All training is scheduled through RFMSS <--click here
Training
Unit POC must conduct a coordination meeting with the VCTS operator 3- weeks (NLT 2-weeks) prior to the training date. Be prepared to discuss training plan, terrain, vehicles, weapons, and types of contacts to be encountered. Refer to the VCTS SOP located on our website for unit requirements and device training capabilities.

TADSS Certification
Units are required to have personnel trained on the following device prior to being signed out of the warehouse: MILES, IEDES, Artillery Simulators, Small Arms Simulators, and TC3X. Units must send at least three Corporal's or above to their scheduled training.

The Improvised Explosive Device Effects Simulator (IEDES) kit is to provide an extensive kit of equipment designed to be used together in a scalable fashion for Explosive Hazard Defeat (EHD) training. Allows units to safely create simulated battlefield cues, signatures and effects that promote effective learning for EHD. The system allows soldiers to train against counter-personnel and counter-material Improvised Explosive Devise (IED) threats.

The XM-10/ Artillery Simulator is used to provide simulation of IED or Artillery shell impact explosion for training soldiers how to react to these situations. The Devise provides a very robust blast wave and flash, giving a realistic yet safe simulation.

The XM-2A produces the sound and flash effect of live machine gun for training and recognition purpose. This device is portable and easy to conceal and operate. The XM-2A can be operated with a manual trigger wire or by remote control.
The Tactical Combat Casualty Care Exportable, or TC3X, simulates the three main causes of death on the battlefield: airway obstruction, tension pneumothorax and blood hemorrhage, commonly referred to as the “ABC’s” — airway, breathing, and circulation. The TC3X is fully animatronic and effectively simulates the ABC’s through a heavily-monitored internal system, giving feedback to the soldiers through physical movements and vocalizations.
