264th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion

"Support for Victory!"

Mission

The 264th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion projects and sustains the combat power of the XVIII Airborne Corps by rapidly deploying and executing no-notice, global tactical-level logistics and sustainment operations to guarantee operational endurance, extend reach, and ensure joint forces can deter or defeat any adversary.

Our History

The 264th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion—originally constituted on May 29, 1942, as the 264th Quartermaster Service Battalion—has served as a foundational pillar of the Army's tactical logistics pipeline for more than eighty years. Formally activated at Camp Shelby, Mississippi, during the height of World War II, the unit immediately forged a legacy of unwavering operational support across the European Theater.

Throughout its storied lineage, the battalion has repeatedly demonstrated its ability to sustain rapid combat operations. From executing vital logistics operations during the Vietnam War to deploying globally for humanitarian and combat operations in Haiti, Afghanistan, and Iraq, the 264th consistently delivers unmatched sustainment capabilities. Operating today out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, under the 3rd Corps Sustainment Command, the battalion lives up to its motto, "Support for Victory," ensuring forward-deployed warfighters maintain the sustainment needed to dominate the battlefield.
