CSM Kevin Donegan

 

Command Sergeant Major Kevin M. Donegan is a native of Syracuse, New York and entered the United States Army in October 1992. He completed One Station Unit Training as a Cannon Crewmember at Fort Sill, Oklahoma and has served in various leadership positions from Gunner, Howitzer Section Chief, Chief of Firing Battery, Master Gunner, WLC Instructor, ROTC Instructor, First Sergeant, G3 Fires Sergeant Major and Command Sergeant Major.

Command Sergeant Major Donegan's previous duty assignments include the 4th Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery at Fort Polk, Louisiana; the 1st Battalion, 7th Field Artillery at Fort Drum, New York; the 2nd Battalion, 320th Field Artillery at Fort Campbell, Kentucky; F Battery, 7th Field Artillery, 2nd Battalion, 11th Field Artillery and Noncommissioned Officers Academy at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; the 5th Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery at Fort Bliss, Texas; the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Field Artillery at Fort Bliss, Texas; the Valley Forge Military Academy in Wayne, Pennsylvania; the 1st Battalion, 31st Field Artillery, Fort Sill, Oklahoma; HHBN, Division Fire Support Element, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas; and he is currently serving in the 25th Division Field Artillery Brigade, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.

Command Sergeant Major Donegan has deployed to Kosovo as part of Task Force Falcon, where he earned the Kosovo Campaign Medal with Bronze Star and the NATO Medal. He has deployed numerous times to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he earned the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Iraq Campaign Medal with Bronze Star. These deployments also earned him the Overseas Service Ribbon with the Numeral 3.

Command Sergeant Major Donegan's other awards and decorations include: the Bronze Star Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, the Meritorious Service Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, the Army Commendation Medal with five Oak Leaf Clusters, the Army Achievement Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Army Service Ribbon. He has been awarded the Army Good Conduct Medal seven times. His unit awards include the Valorous Unit Award and the Meritorious Unit Commendation with one Oak Leaf Cluster. Command Sergeant Major Donegan's skill badges include the Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, Rifle Marksmanship Badge -Expert, and the Driver Badge - Wheeled. He is also a recipient of the Ancient Order of Saint Barbara.

Command Sergeant Major Donegan's Professional Military Education includes all the Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development System courses from the Warrior Leaders Course to the United States Army Sergeants Major Course (Class 64) recognized by the Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon with Numeral 5. He has also attended the Brigade and Battalion TRADOC Pre-Command Course and Jungle Operations Training Course. He is a certified Total Army Instructor, Small Group Instructor, Master Resilience Trainer, Master Gunner, and has completed the Army Combatives Level I Course. He also holds a Black Belt Degree of Kung Fu San Soo in the Art of Self Defense from the Dave Hopkins Association. He holds an Associate's Degree in General Studies from El Paso Community College and a Baccalaureate Degree in Occupational Safety and Health from Columbia Southern University. He is currently pursuing his Master's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health.

He is married and has two children.
