CSM Sean E. Swint
Command Sergeant Major Swint, a native of Webster, TX, enlisted October 18, 2005 as a Field Artilleryman. He attended Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. Upon completion of Initial Entry Training, he was awarded the Military Occupational Specialty, 13M, Multiple Launch Rocket System and High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (MLRS/HIMARS) Crewmember.
Command Sergeant Major Swint’s duty assignments include B/1-94 FA, 1st AD in Idar-Oberstein, Germany as an Ammunition Specialist, M270 Driver, and Gunner; B/1-94 FA, 17th FA BDE in Joint Base Lewis–McChord (JBLM), Washington as an Ammunition Section Chief and HIMARS Section Chief; B/1-38 FA, 210th FA BDE as an M270A1 Section Chief in Camp Casey, Korea; HHB/5-3 FA, 17th FA BDE in JBLM, Washington as a Battalion Ammunition NCO and Battalion Master Gunner; B/5-3 FA, 17th FA BDE in JBLM, Washington as a Platoon Sergeant; 3-314th FA, 174th INF BDE in Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey as a HIMARS Observer Coach / Trainer; HHB/4-319th AFAR, 173rd IBCT(A) in Grafenwoehr, Germany as the Battalion Operations Sergeant and First Sergeant; A/4-319th AFAR, 173rd IBCT(A) in Grafenwoehr, Germany as a First Sergeant; 56th Artillery Command in Mainz-Kastel, Germany as an Operations Sergeant Major, and most recently the Battalion Command Sergeant Major of 3-319th AFAR “Gun Devils” in the 82nd Airborne Division. Command Sergeant Major Swint has a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership and Workforce Development through the Command and General Staff College (CGSC).
His awards and decorations include the Expert Soldier Badge, Master Gunner Identification Badge, Ranger Tab, Pathfinder Badge, Air Assault Badge, Senior Parachutist Badge, Meritorious Service Medal (4OLC), Army Commendation Medal (5OLC), Army Achievement Medal (4OLC), Army Superior Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Medal (6 Knots), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal and Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 5), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (Numeral 4). Command Sergeant Major Swint is also the recipient of the Honorable Order of St. Barbara and Order of St. Michael (Angelic), as well as a member of both Sergeant Audie Murphy and Sergeant Morales Clubs.
