Brig. Gen. Kevin J. Williams

Brigadier General Williams was commissioned as an Infantry Officer in 1997 and is a native of Carmel, California. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara. BG Williams’ other degrees include a Master’s in Policy Management from Georgetown University and a Master’s of Science in National Security Strategy from the National War College.

BG Williams’ command assignments include: Commander for a forward deployed Joint Task Force, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command; Brigade Commander for 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division; Battalion Commander for 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division; Commander for B Company, 327th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault); and Commander for B Troop, 1st Squadron, 32nd Cavalry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).

His staff and special assignments include: Chief of Staff, Joint Task Force – Red Hill, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command; Director of Staff for J3 Directorate, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command; Chief of Staff for 25th Infantry Division and U.S. Army Hawaii; Senior Advisor for the Chief of General Staff, Afghanistan; Aide-De-Camp to the Secretary of the Army; S-3 for 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault); S-3 and XO for 1st Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault); and various positions on the Army and Joint Staff.

BG Williams has multiple operational deployments in support of operations in Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan and regional initiatives in U.S. Indo-Pacific Command and U.S. Southern Command.

BG Williams is married and has two children.
