Fort Drum information accessible on Digital Garrison App

FORT DRUM, N.Y. (Jan. 19, 2021) – The Fort Drum Digital Garrison App launched in the summer of 2020, with more than 900 downloads and growing.

Fort Drum officials are encouraging more people to connect with their community and stay in-the-know by downloading the free app.

It also links to the Fort Drum website and can direct users to the COVID-19 updates, hotlines and gate access information. Developed as a partnership between the U.S. Army and the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES), the app also allows people to explore their Exchange store from their smartphone and make secure online purchases.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the app has been especially useful as another method of disseminating updates on facility openings and closures, adjusted hours of operations, event announcements and cancellations.

The Digital Garrison App is currently available to more than 60 Army installations worldwide, with resources specific to each post, including:

  • Weather and community calendar events
  • Installation Directory
  • Newcomer information and Gold Star Family Badge requests

Users now have access to the new Army maintenance web application, which allows Soldiers living in barracks and non-privatized housing to file and track maintenance work orders. It also is accessible at www.armymaintenance.com.

The free app is available in the Apple and Google Play stores.
