Community to recognize high school seniors
FORT DRUM, N.Y. (May 20, 2020) – Congratulations to the Class of 2020!
Fort Drum is honored to recognize your accomplishments in education at our Community Commencement parade on June 18.
High school seniors and their families are invited to decorate their vehicles and join the parade around the installation. Line-up will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 18, at the Magrath Sports Complex with the parade commencing promptly at 4 p.m.
Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation staff will be on location to direct appropriately spaced parking and flow of traffic. Vehicles must be at least six feet apart, and masks must be worn while decorating vehicles. During the parade, seniors and their families must remain in their vehicles.
Along the parade route, each senior will receive a token of celebration from Family and MWR and their sponsors: USO, AmeriCU, and Fort Drum Mountain Community Homes. (Sponsorship does not imply endorsement.)
Also on June 18, all submitted senior photos will be showcased on the outdoor digital marquees throughout the installation. All Fort Drum high school seniors (military-related) must preregister no later than June 4.
Preregister by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org no later than June 4.
Include the following information:
- Senior’s first name
- Senior’s last name
- Email address
- Senior’s high school
- Senior’s favorite quote
Please provide a photo of your senior; size requirement is 352 x 144 pixels.
Members of the Fort Drum community: Help us celebrate with your homemade signs and noise makers along the route on Thursday, June 18, beginning at 4 p.m.
