2nd Brigade Combat Team Soldiers return to Fort Drum
Families packed the bleachers inside Monti Physical Fitness Center during the second welcome home ceremony for some 200 Soldiers of 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (LI), returning from a nine-month deployment July 15, 2019, at Fort Drum, New York. Last fall, some 2,000 Soldiers from 2nd BCT deployed to Kosovo and Afghanistan in support of an ongoing North Atlantic Treaty Organization peacekeeping mission and Operation Resolute Support. Maj. Gen. Brian Mennes, 10th Mountain Division (LI) and Fort Drum commander, applauded Families of 2nd BCT Soldiers for their support during the deployment.
