In-Processing New Arrivals

  • Unaccompanied Soldiers (E5 and below) are required to reside in barracks and in-process with their Unit S1 and then with the appropriate Barracks Manager. 

  • Unaccompanied Airmen (E4 and below with less than three years time in service) are required to in-process at the Consolidated Dormitory Office at 566 Outer Circle Drive, McChord Field.

 

About UPH

  • There are more than 10,000 Soldier barracks spaces and more than 600 Airmen dormitory spaces on JBLM for unaccompanied Soldiers and Airmen. JBLM UPH facilities have a variety of configurations:

  • Army Historic – Renovated to the 2+0 standard, two service members per bedroom with a shared bathroom and a service area with sink, counter, refrigerator and microwave oven.

  • Army Hammerhead, Rolling Pin, and H-Style – Two service members per bedroom with a refrigerator and microwave oven, and a common area latrine for each floor. E5 rooms have a private bathroom.

  • Army 2+0 VOLAR – Two service members per bedroom with a shared bathroom and a service area with sink, counter, refrigerator and microwave oven.

  • Army 2+2 ARHOC – Two service members per bedroom in a two-bedroom suite, built around a single shared bathroom and a service area with a refrigerator and microwave oven.

  • Army 1+1 – Two service members sharing a suite composed of two private living and/or sleeping rooms, with walk-in closets, connected by a shared bathroom, and service area with washer, dryer, sink, counter, refrigerator and microwave oven.

  • Army 1+1E – Two service members sharing a suite composed of two private living and/or sleeping rooms, with walk-in closets, connected by a shared bathroom, and service area with washer, dryer, sink, counter, refrigerator, and either a stove or cook top and a microwave oven. It has larger rooms and closets than the original 1+1 configuration.

  • Air Force Dorm – One service member per room with a bathroom shared by no more than one other service member and a service area with sink, counter, refrigerator and a microwave oven.

  • Wounded Warrior – Specially configured to meet the rehabilitative needs of wounded warriors.
