Engineering, Plans and Services Division

Mission:

Provide customer-valued service and support through project planning, design, and execution. Take care of internal and external customers through quality real property accounting, inspection, documentation, and mapping, and facilitate facility conversions and stationing actions. Develop, monitor, and execute a wide range of contract vehicles to execute projects and services on Fort Drum.

Design

Provide engineering support for a wide range of Fort Drum projects, including design and review, construction field representation, project development and management, and contracting support. This branch is composed of civil engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, architects, engineering technicians, and construction inspectors ensuring the installation's capability to project its global warfighter mission.

 

Master Planning

Maintain the installation Real Property Master Plan. Provide long-range planning for the long-term facility and infrastructure requirements of the installation using the Military Construction Army Program and the Sustainment, Restoration, Modernization funding appropriation. Provide oversight services of major construction projects.

 

Construction

Provide support for repair and restoration projects, including scoping and design review, construction field representation, project management, and support of a wide range of contract types.

 

Real Property and Installation Geospatial Information Services (IGIS)

Responsible for facility inventory management, assets accounting, assigning space, space utilization and the real estate out-grant process. The real property accountable officer is accountable for all buildings, structures, utilities and land under the control of the garrison commander.

IGIS manages spatial information that digitally represents Fort Drum features, including road networks, building footprints, as-built drawings, utilities, and surrounding areas. This information is available through web mapping, hard maps, and data request services.
