Jefferson Community College staff opens registration for remaining classes in 2023

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (March 29, 2023) – Register now for Jefferson Community College (JCC) classes with summer, fall and winter 2023 start dates and seize the opportunity to make college happen this year!

Summer session at JCC is an opportunity to earn college credit and still have time to enjoy all the pleasantries of the season!

Special session classes that fall outside early, full, and late sessions begin as soon as May 30. Early session (four-week) classes and full session (eight-week) classes begin June 5. Late session (four-week) classes begin July 10.

Summer session classes are offered in a traditional online format (work at your own pace), live online format (instructor and students meet virtually), and in person on campus and at Fort Drum. With a free admissions application, tuition payment plans and financial aid opportunities, why not jump right in and give college a shot?

Fall semester classes begin Aug. 28 including early session (eight-week) classes. Late session (eight-week) classes run Oct. 23 through Dec. 14. Classes are offered online in a variety of formats, on campus, at Fort Drum and the Lewis County JCC Education Center in Lowville.

Make the most of your winter season by earning college credit from the comfort of your home. Winter session runs four weeks, from Dec. 18 through Jan. 19. Classes are offered in traditional and live online formats. 

Students returning to JCC after a period of absence, and transfer students, should complete the admissions application online at www.sunyjefferson.edu/apply as early as possible or contact Enrollment Services at (315) 786-2437 for assistance.

If it’s been three years or more since attending college and your GPA is below 2.0, you may request an academic fresh start to wipe the slate clean.

Military students should contact the JCC office on Fort Drum at (315) 786-6566 to apply for admission and to register for classes.

Current JCC students (continuing after spring 2023 semester) should register via MyJCC online at www.sunyjefferson.edu.

Summer Session 2023

  • Special session classes begin as soon as May 30

  • 8-week session: June 5 to July 31
  • 4-week late session: July 10 to Aug. 4

  • 8-week early session: Aug. 28 to Oct. 19
