Global Household Goods Contract

Fort Leavenworth Announces Launch of Moves Under the New Global Household Goods Contract

Starting October 2024, a limited number of personal property shipments going to and from the Fort Leavenworth area will now be moved under the new Global Household Goods Contract (GHC). Initially, most HHG shipments will continue under the Defense Personal Property System (DPS); customers will be directed to an online sort-tool to determine which system they will use.

What does this mean for you? If your upcoming move qualifies for GHC, you will have the opportunity to be among the first customers to experience a new and improved process, which includes:

  • Advanced online scheduling systems
  • 24/7 customer support
  • Names and photos of your moving crews
  • Shipment in-transit information
  • Electronic inventories with photos
  • And more

Want to learn more about GHC and all it has to offer? Visit the GHC information page at  www.MilitaryOneSource.mil/GHC.
