Welcome to Fort Jackson
The U.S. Army’s main production center for Basic Combat Training, we train more than 50 percent of the Army’s Basic Combat Training load and 60 percent of the women entering the Army each year.
All Permanent Party Soldiers arriving at Fort Jackson, regardless of rank, must report to their unit of assignment. If assignment orders do not reflect unit of assignment, Soldiers will contact their sponsors for instructions. Soldiers are expected to comply with the instructions from the individuals signing them in. For Soldiers without sponsor and assignment orders not reflecting unit of assignment, contact U.S. Army Training Center and Fort Jackson Deputy G1, at (803) 751-5613 or (803)751-3428 during between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, for assistance concerning unit of assignment.
After signing in at the unit, vaccinated Soldiers are able to start in-processing immediately with a statement from the unit stating Restriction of Movement (ROM) isn't required. The hours for in-processing are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily in room 200, Strom Thurmond Building, Strom Thurmond Blvd. Newly arriving Soldiers will not report to the IHG during or after duty hours.
