Overnight and into the morning, we may have close to half an inch of ice. Det. 4, 18th Weather Squadron, (some of our Air Force personnel stationed here) are continuously monitoring the weather. It will begin to affect us late tonight. Rain will continue through today and transition to Freezing Rain (ICE) late Wednesday night, then change to Ice Pellets (Sleet) Thursday morning continuing throughout the day. As cold air continues to move into the region, there will be very light Snow Flurries beginning Thursday night with little accumulation. The Freezing Rain will put down a layer of ICE of 0.15 inches and there will be Ice Pellet (Sleet) accumulation of .25 in. Once the temperature drops below freezing, we are not forecasting the temperature to rise above freezing for at least the next 5 days.
