Visitor Check-In
The 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) will conduct Operation Lethal Eagle, a division-wide training exercise Jan. 18-30, 2026. During this timeframe, the following gates will be closed or have limited access:
Closed:
- Palmyra Rd. Gate (near the intersection of Palmyra Road and Highway 79/Dover Road)
- 101st Airborne Division Gate (Near the intersection of 101st Airborne Division Road and Highway 79/Dover Road)
- Lafayette Gate (in Kentucky near the intersection of Lafayette Road and Patton Road)
Limited access:
- Angels and Mabry Gates will be restricted to OLE traffic only.
Please plan your travels accordingly.
Anyone entering the installation must have a REAL ID or another approved Federally issued ID.
Individuals who possess a valid Department of Defense-issued ID card will not be affected in their ability to enter military installations.
Acceptable credentials for access to the installation:
- U.S. Military ID (all members of the U.S. Armed Forces, military retirees and dependent ID card holders, Gov't Civilian CAC card holders)
- Veterans Health Identification Card issued by the U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs
- U.S. Passport
- U.S. Passport Card
- State-issued Identification, such as a driver’s license or identification card issued by a state that meets the REAL ID standards or an Interim Driver’s License issued by a state that meets the REAL ID standards
NOTE: The Real ID Act was enacted by Congress as a result of a 9/11 Commission recommendation that all state issued ID cards meet certain security and issuance standards. Implementation of the REAL ID Act requirements as it pertains to U.S. military installation access began in mid-January 2016.

Vehicles entering Fort Campbell are required to have either an adult authorized ID cardholder in the vehicle or an authorized visitor pass. To obtain a pass, the vehicle operator must process at a visitor control center and present the following: valid vehicle registration, proof of current vehicle insurance, and valid driver's license. Each individual age 18 and over in the vehicle must also obtain a visitor's pass.

Visitor Passes will be issued to all non-DoD persons with a valid reason for entering the installation. A visitor pass can be issued for up to 90 days for all non-DoD personnel. A security-vetting process will be completed on each non-DoD individual prior to receiving a visitor pass. This includes all non-DoD passengers riding in a non-DoD person’s vehicle.
In addition to providing passes for non-affiliated visitors to Fort Campbell, the Visitor Control Centers also conduct RAPIDGate Credentialing, and Weapons Registration.

Individuals may be able to obtain an extended visitors pass for up to 90 days. A sponsor will submit an application, Fort Campbell Form 190-5 (Right Click and "Save Link As" to save download and save file). Sponsors will review the application for completeness and forward it to access control via email at usarmy.campbell.imcom-atlantic.mbx.des-access-control@mail.mil or take the application in-person to the Visitor Control Center at TC Freeman Gate (Gate 4). Access control personnel will notify the sponsor when the pass is ready, and the sponsor is responsible for notifying the applicant that their pass is ready. Applicants are required to present a valid state or federal photo identification when the pass is issued.
The DoD and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) expanded in-store commissary, Military Service exchange (PX), and MWR Category C activity privileges to Purple Heart recipients; former prisoners of war; veterans with service-connected disabilities; caregivers or family caregivers enrolled as the primary caregiver for veterans in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers; and Medal of Honor (MOH) recipients. MWR Category C activities include clubs, golf courses, recreational vehicle parks, commissaries, and the Post Exchange. This expansion does not apply for MWR activities primarily funded with appropriated funds, such as the fitness centers and libraries, or other activities that are restricted, such as child development programs. The Fort Campbell Directorate of Emergency Services, Physical Security Division will pre-registration eligible veterans and caregivers at the TC Freeman (Gate 4) Visitor Control Center. To avoid potential long wait times, it is recommended that eligible personnel fill out a Fort Campbell Form 190-5 (Right Click and "Save Link As" to save download and save file) and email it to usarmy.campbell.imcom-atlantic.mbx.des-access-control@mail.mil. A DES representative will contact the applicant within 24 to 48 hours with additional instructions.
The TC Freeman Visitor Control Center is open 24/7. Visitor passes can be obtained in-person or visit https://pass.aie.army.mil ✪ to obtain a visitors pass. Commercial traffic must use the Gate 7 Visitor Control Center.
The Gate 7 Visitor Control Center will be open to commercial traffic only from 5 a.m. - 1 p.m. Monday to Friday. From 1 - 9 p.m. Monday to Friday and all-day Saturday and Sunday, commercial traffic will proceed directly to the Gate 7 Visitor Control Center Commercial Vehicle Lane. The Commercial Vehicle Lane will be open from 5 a.m. - 9 p.m. All other visitors should proceed to the TC Freeman (Gate 4) Visitor Control Center or visit https://pass.aie.army.mil ✪ to obtain a visitors pass.
