Army Continuing Education Services (ACES) provides quality education programs and services to the service members, families, civilians, retirees and veterans in the JBLM community.  Additional services offered at the Stone Education Center include advising, testing, language testing, ArmyIgnitEd and college support, TA and VA benefits assistance and employment opportunities.

Technology and Academic Resource Center (TARC)

The TARC  is a specific area for service member training/learning and self-development (to include college course work). Services at the TARC include:

  • Computers with internet access, which support desktop video conferencing
  • Access to digital resources, language labs, tutorial assistance, and training materials
  • Online access to the Army Correspondence Course Program, the Reimer Digital Library, self-development classes, NCOPDS training courses, and college classes

Please note: the TARC is not a public computer lab, and is not for checking social media, personal email accounts, or other web browsing.

Testing Services

Supporting active duty, National Guard, U.S. Army Reserve, and other Department of Defense personnel in the region.

A consolidated testing facility that administers the Army Personnel Tests. Tests available include the Armed Forces Classification Test, Selection Instrument Flight Training, American Language Course Placement Course, Defense Language Aptitude Battery, and the Defense Language Proficiency Test. We also make appointments through the Defense Language Institute Monterey, CA, for Oral Proficiency Telephonic Interviews.
