The Joint Base Lewis-McChord Directorate of Emergency Services plans, directs, synchronizes and executes Fire and Emergency Services, Law Enforcement, Physical Security, Access Control, Weapons System Security, Emergency Management and Emergency Communications/911 on JBLM in order to protect service members, family members and civilians; protect the JBLM strategic support area; enable readiness and facilitate power projection during peace time and war.

PROVOST MARSHAL OFFICE
The Provost Marshal Office is a professionally trained, positive, customer focused law enforcement and access control organization that is responsive to the needs of not only the commander but the civilian community. The Provost Marshal is committed to maintaining good order, discipline, safety and security for all those who live and work on JBLM.
FIRE DIVISION
The Fire Division is made up of highly skilled and professional emergency response teams capable of providing emergency medical, hazardous material, fire rescue, fire suppression and consequence management to mitigate the effects of both natural and man-made disasters.
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DIVISION
The Emergency Management Division protects the JBLM community by coordinating and integrating all activities necessary to build, sustain, and improve the capability to mitigate against, prepare for, respond to, and recover from threatened or actual natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or other man-made disasters in order to ensure our mission readiness.
