The Housing Division of the Directorate of Public Works provides homes to Soldiers, U.S. civilians, and family members living on and off post.
Note: Housing Division enforces the U.S. Army Europe Mandatory Assignment to Government Quarters policy. Any requests for exception to this policy will only be considered if based on a serious hardship to the service member or for life, health or safety reasons. Requests for exception to the policy are approved by the garrison commander after the request is endorsed by an 0-5 or above in the person’s chain of command. Residing in government quarters provide military families with better access to quality of life resources; reduces recall times in time of crisis; and improves overall readiness.
