The Public Affairs Office supports United States Army Garrison Italy by communicating on behalf of the installation and its leadership - providing clear, accurate, timely information to internal and external audiences. We employ a variety of communication strategies- including internal news and information products, media engagement, and public outreach.

Media Relations

The Media Relations section assists members of the news media in providing news coverage of the U.S. Army in northern Italy.  We work closely with the Italian Base Commanders to provide media access to Caserma Ederle, Caserma Del Din and Camp Darby for news coverage of events.

Command Information

The Command Information section provides news and information to members of the USAG Italy community, through digital resources including this website and garrison social media pages. 

Community Relations

Community Relations programs support and sustain relationships between the service members, civilians and Host Nation leaders in and around the USAG Italy footprint. 

USAG Italy works closely with resident units, including Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), 173rd Airborne Brigade, 207th Military Intelligence Brigade and US Army Health Clinic Vicenza, to fulfill community requests. 

The garrison's Community Alliance Partnership program is the foundation of strengthening relations between U.S. and Italian communities in northern Italy.  The program included quarterly meetings between Army leadership and elected officials in respective communities as well as official representation at community gatherings.
