Vicenza Military Community DES provides 24-hour law enforcement, force protection, and community assistance to Commanders, Soldiers, Family members, Civilians and guests of the Vicenza and Camp Darby Military Communities and maintains liaison with local law enforcement agencies and supports installations contingency operations.
The Provost Marshal (PM) is installation commander's advisor for MP law and order operations. As the chief law enforcement officer on the installation the PM provides the installation commander with professional and technical advice concerning law and order objectives, policies, and directives.
Mission
To protect community, personnel, equipment and facilities against any criminal, terrorist or fire threat by coordinating and conducting proactive community-oriented law enforcement, physical security and fire suppression and prevention operations within the USAG-Italy Military Community.
Vision
Provide professional Emergency Response and support to Garrison protection efforts. The DES serves as the Subject Matter Expert for Fire Protection, Law Enforcement policy and procedures, and provides protection oversight and coordination.
Services
The Directorate of Emergency Services conducts community-based law enforcement, fire services and physical security operations for USAG Italy
We provide Emergency Services in any case of fire, accident, medical, natural or man-made disaster. We also provide non-emergency technical services when special equipment or know-how of the fire service is needed.

Fire Safety Program
MISSION: To provide our customers with protection from fire and other emergencies/incidents; rescue from dangerous situations, education in fire prevention, or personal and large scale disasters (man-made or natural); fire and life safety assessments; and assistance in any emergency where lives and property are in jeopardy, using the most cost-effective, manpower efficient methods available.
Physical Security
The physical security section develops new or updates existing physical security policies, procedures, and plans for the director of emergency services guidance and intent to protect garrison assets from loss, theft or destruction. The physical security office is located in building 4B.
MP Administration
The administration section processes military police reports. Customers may pick up accident reports approximately 10 working days or once the report is final. Customers should call the administration office to confirm report(s) are final and ready for pick up.
Military Police Investigations
The Military Police Investigations section performs a wide range of crime related investigative services in coordination with USACID and Host Nation authorities when applicable.
Vehicle Registration
All privately-owned vehicles (POVs) must both pass inspection and be registered in Germany. The Vehicle Inspection Office is separate from the Vehicle Registration Office.
Vehicles brought from the United States, or purchased locally, must be registered with AFI. All shipped vehicles and used vehicles purchased in Italy must pass a safety inspection before they can be registered. Personnel leaving (ETS or PCS) or individuals who have lost logistical support must turn in their plates to vehicle registration (not MP Station) prior to leaving the USAG Italy community.

Installation Access Control
The IACS office registers DoD ID cardholders into IACS, issues installation passes to contractors, vendors and visitors, and processes installation access rosters for special events or persons who need short term access but are not eligible for an installation pass.
