How Long is In Processing?
Upon arrival at Camp Darby, all incoming personnel will be issued an official in-processing checklist. The timeline and completion requirements for this checklist depend on your status:
Service Members: You will follow a structured 10-business-day schedule of events to complete your requirements. This 10-day window excludes U.S. Federal holidays, training holidays, and local Italian holidays.
Civilian Employees and Contractors: You will receive a specialized checklist that must be completed and officially signed by your supervisor. Unlike military personnel, there is no fixed calendar deadline for civilian completion, though it should be prioritized upon arrival.
Are the In Processing Classes/Briefings Mandatory?
For Soldiers: Yes.
For Civilians and Contractors: mandatory classes will be included on the checklist.
Do I have to Turn-In my In Processing Checklist?
Yes, so we can remove you from our rosters and release you to your unit.
Can my Unit pull me out of In-Processing?
No. Classes are MANDATORY.
I just arrived but I don't want to sign in off leave. Do I have to?
No, however, you will be required to pay for your lodging expenses out-of-pocket. Temporary housing allowances only begin when you report to in-processing.
