ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT AND ASSISTANCE SYSTEM (EPAAS)

EPAAS is the Army tool to achieve, maintain, and monitor compliance with environmental laws and regulations. It also evaluates the effectiveness of the systems used to meet Garrison environmental goals.

The Environmental Division conducts Internal EPAAS/EMS audits of USAG Italy annually. IMCOM Headquarters and Army Environmental Command perform an External EPAAS/EMS audit every 3 years. The last EPAAS/EMS audit occurred on 12-16 May 2014.

The EPAAS findings and their respective corrective actions are reported regularly to the Garrison Commander via the Environmental Quality Control Committee (EQCC).
