Mission Statement: The mission of the Traffic Section is to promote safety for all citizens through, education, engineering, and high-visibility, proactive, traffic enforcement. The primary goal is the prevention of personal injury and property damage due to unsafe road conditions and traffic collisions.

Traffic Officers:
Assigned traffic officers are part of the installation's Traffic Section. These officers have received extensive, focused, and specific training in the field of crash investigation. Accident investigations are serious business and the DES has committed significant resources to the training of these officers. Each officer has successfully completed certified instruction in crash investigation and reconstruction and as a result is fully prepared and trained to investigate both minor and major traffic accidents.
Traffic officers also provide a significant enforcement presence on all installation roadways. When not engaged in an investigation, these officers focus on modifying driving behavior, resolving complaints, and proactively enforcing traffic laws and regulations.
