Public Affairs Media Relations
The U.S. Army Garrison Fort Buchanan Public Affairs Media Relations section assists members of the news media in reporting on Fort Buchanan, ensuring the American public has access to the information they need to understand the military’s role in the community in support of the nation.
The Command Information section provides news and information to members of the U.S. Army Garrison Fort Buchanan community, by producing an array of command information products for our internal and external audiences to include the Fort Buchanan to include the Fort Buchanan newspaper, El Morro, website and social media sites. Community Relations programs support and sustain relationships between service members and leaders at Fort Buchanan and representatives of Puerto Rico’s civilian communities. Fort Buchanan works closely with resident military units, including the U.S. Army Reserve, Puerto Rico National Guard, U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and the Navy Operation Support Center. The garrison also works closely with resident civilian organizations, including the Logistics Readiness Center, Network Enterprise Center, Rodriguez Army Health Clinic, Department of Defense Education Activity, Defense Commissary, Army and Air Force Exchange Services, Intercontinental Hotels Group, Banco Popular, Pentagon Federal Credit Union, and the U.S. Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command.
