CPF: Out-Processing ‘MUST KNOW'

  • IAW AER 612-1 and AR 600-08-101, all SMs, DACs and Contractors assigned to USAG Italy need clear the installation prior to departure. Failure to comply with out-processing requirements could result in adverse disciplinary actions.
  • Upon receiving orders, all projected outgoing community members need report to SATO Travel bldg. 249 to make the necessary travel arrangements. Soldiers will need to provide a copy of the orders and absence request. DACs will need to provide a copy of the orders.
  • After having scheduled travel arrangements, all outbound personnel need report to the Central Processing Facility (CPF) bldg. 393 out-processing section and provide the following:

SOLDIERS:

  • Orders 
  • Absence request
  • Flight itinerary 
  • Soldier Talent Profile (STP)
  • Transition checklist (for SMs transitioning or retiring ONLY).
  • DD214 Worksheet (for SMs transitioning or retiring ONLY).
  • Soldiers must be in duty uniform while clearing the community.

DACs:

  • Orders 
  • Flight itinerary

CONTRACTORS:

  • Orders 
  • Flight itinerary
  • CPF personnel will determine your eligibility date to receive installation clearing papers and will give you a completed by date. SMs are eligible to collect installation clearing papers at CPF, 12 business days prior to departure not counting Federal U.S. and Host Nation holidays.
  • After the initial counseling with the CPF out-processing clerk, all outgoing personnel will be directed to the following agencies to make the necessary arrangements to successfully out-process the VMC.

CPF: Out-Processing Reminders

  • Service Members should terminate all of their contracts with phone/ internet and cable companies (TELECOM, TIM, INFOSTRADA, SKY, etc.). Please see the Phone Shop located in the PX to cancel phone services.
  • Service Members must clear AAFES if their child/children are enrolled in the School Lunch Program or have a Star Card.

CPF: Clearance Papers Requirements

Soldiers must be in duty uniform.

Soldiers must bring copies of:

  • Orders
  • Flight itinerary
  • Approved Leave Form (DA Form 31)

Service Members will receive clearance papers 12 duty days prior their leave start date. Leave must cover the flight time.

SOLDIERS ARE NOT AUTHORIZED, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, TO SIGN FOR ANY AGENCY ON CLEARANCE PAPERS.

CPF: Final-out Requirements

  • Soldiers must be in duty uniform.
  • Two duty days prior to their departure, Service Members must report back to the CPF with their clearance checklist completed with all required signatures and stamps.
  • Unit S1 is responsible for the unit clearance record (DD Form 137-1).
  • SATO Travel Agency will not issue tickets without the CPF out- processing red stamp.
  • Service Members must ensure they complete their final-out in time to pick up their tickets before they are scheduled to fly.

CPF: Marco Polo Airport Shuttle & Pets

The following conditions need be met in order for pets to ride the Marco Polo Shuttle Bus:

  • Pets must be inside of a pet carrier, and the pet carrier must fit on the seat or in between the seats not blocking the aisle.
  • Italian law prohibits the transportation of live animals in the cargo portion of the bus.
  • Make a bus reservation online HERE.
