The Total Army Sponsorship Program (TASP) is a Commander’s Program, designed to ensure all organizations have trained Sponsors and ensure every Soldier that is required to have sponsorship has been contacted, with a sponsor assigned. Your Sponsor will ensure you receive the services needed to transition successfully in and out of Fort Belvoir.
Go to the website at: https://actnow.army.mil and fill out DA Form 5434 Sponsorship request.

Youth Sponsorship Program
(1) Contact School Liaison Officer (SLO): Before the move, reach out to the Fort Belvoir SLO. This begins the sponsorship process for the child.
(2) Request a Youth Sponsor: The SLO will coordinate with Child and Youth Services (CYS) to match the child with a sponsor.
(3) Provide Necessary Information: The parent provides details about the child, such as age, grade, and interests, to help find a suitable sponsor.
(4) Sponsor Assignment: CYS will assign a peer sponsor to the child. This sponsor will help the child acclimate to the new environment.
(5) Pre-Arrival Communication: The sponsor may reach out before the child's arrival and provide initial information about their community and school.
(6) Arrival and Orientation: After arrival, the sponsor will meet the child and can arrange for community and school tours to get them settled.
(7) Ongoing Support: The sponsor will continue to provide support and assistance as the child adjusts to the new location.
(8) School Liaison Checklist: School Liaison Checklist for Military Families
